In 2024, after nearly 20 years as a professional studio artist, Jennifer is working toward her dream of building a custom studio space on the property she shares with her husband, dog, cat, and many backyard birds and woodland creatures in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Over the years, her “studio” has been anything from a dining room table in a 2-room apartment, to an attic in a women’s dormitory, and a corner of the gallery space she once owned and operated, “Studio262”. Each instance has been a struggle in which to create, yet somehow also a gift that provided just enough space to keep her going. TODAY - with Jennifer’s mixed-media practice taking over her studio (requiring collage, sewing, painting, paper-making, and shipping/receiving space, to name a few), she is struggling in new ways to find a balance between her current goals and her small in-home studio space. While temporary solutions fill the gap, Jennifer is looking forward to fulfilling a long overdue dream.
