Lommers’ current work spans a range of media and disciplines, primarily focused on memory, connection, and issues of conservation within an increasingly distressed biosphere. By the very nature of her stitched, paper-sculpted, naturally sourced and vintage materials, Lommers' work specifically acknowledges human-scale time as a narrative element—building layers as sedimental bonds between the past, present, and future. In this way, Lommers travels across dimensions with visions built of the people, places, memories, and memorabilia abandoned by time, while connecting this human existence to the wildness of forests, meadows, and landscape, from the depths of the ocean to the expanse of the cosmos -  speaking to an elemental vastness simultaneously deeply inherent and beyond the human experience.
