Commission Deposit

Thank you for your interest in commissioned art! Commissions are a great way to find the perfect piece of original art for your home. While Jennifer doesn’t create duplicates of original work, she can create something with a similar color palette, style, and subject – keeping to her usual genre of work. Commission requests are scheduled up to 12 months in advance. The process and pricing for completing commissioned work are as follows.

Pricing varies depending on the level of complication of the requested subject matter and materials used. However, most commission requests will follow the base price guidelines provided in the list below.
(A $500 commission minimum is required.)

This $100 non-refundable deposit secures your spot on Jennifer’s commission calendar. This deposit will be applied to the final value of the ordered commission piece. 25% of the final price is required to start work, 30-75 days prior to completion, and will be invoiced separately via email. For reference, base commission rates are as follows.
Acrylic on Paper ($2.35 per square inch)
Acrylic on Canvas ($3.00 per square inch)
Oil on Canvas ($3.50 per square inch)
Reverse Glass Oil Painting ($2.50 per square inch)
Mixed Media Painting* ($5.50 per square inch)
Mixed Media Fiber Collage* ($7.00 per square inch)
To move forward with a commission, Jennifer requests: (1) $100 minimum deposit, (2) preferred materials (based on list, above), (3) dimensions (works on paper are limited to 40 x 60 inches, all others are custom built to any size), (4) titles of 2-3 images of Jennifer’s existing work you like (a catalog of images is available at Jennifer-Lommers.Pixels.com), (5) requests for particular subject matter and/or color palette. (Exceptions: Standard Vintage Collage work can be ordered directly via JenniferLommers.com as “custom orders” and do not require the formal commission request process.)

A limited number of originals can be made within a given time. Jennifer will contact you with available delivery dates upon receipt of your deposit (typically within 2-6 months). To confirm schedule availability prior to placing a deposit, please contact Jennifer directly.
